Shoes have been around maybe 30,000, 40,000 years. People's feet used to be bigger and their toes were thicker. The oldest proof they have of shoes was from like 15,000 years ago cave drawings where they had shoes on in the paintings. I think Native Americans just walk barefoot unless you were in the northern area or in the winter time when it got cold there were moccasins.
