What's Happening to Demand for Money?
The only things that really do have predicted power are those areas of the marketplace most sensitive to interest rates. That's why I focus on lumber to gold and utilities. Whatever predictors you have, like in the case of my signals, only explains a portion of why markets do what they do. The rest is randomness. The rest you can't model. You cannot create a robust approach to markets if you think you can curve fit by throwing as many variables as possible. This is a disaster waiting to happen."
