The House Is Falling Apart

A lot of them weren't treated horribly like it is depicted sometimes now. For a lot of times the slaves it was scary I mean this is a new adventure for them right they don't know what they're capable of doing and so it was tough for a lot of them to imagine not having those chains. They themselves started to believe that they were lesser than in some cases not all again but in some cases they did. And I think that maybe she kind of represents that. The idea of returning to normalcy is to get back to the way things were before the Civil War.
