The Virtue Ethicist and the Preaching of Law and Gospel

The goal of being a Christian then is to not be a jerk. Well, that's also not very objective,. What does that what does that even mean? And so I have a hard time with both of these things personally. So you're not content, you're sensing something about yourself that is off and that just doesn't seem aligned with the quote unquote universe. Let me tell you what that is. This is your sin, you know, and then all of the preaching of the law comes on and then absolution follows on the heels of that. Has a similar end, but at least has a possible quote unquote objective sort of grounding in it.
