'Biran Gonna'

During the war, many of the women were held in so called rape camps where they were repeatedly assaulted over a period of months. The women were crammed in, more than 20 to a room and fed just one rotty a day. In an attempt to tackle the stigma the women might face, the country's new leader gave them the honorific title of biran gonna - which means brave woman.
