That where the Lib Dems have the best chance of defeating the Conservatives, Labour voters hold their nose and vote for the Lib Dems - as we saw indeed with Selby. And that, as you say, John, is exactly like the mid-1990s. The transformation in just two years has been mind-boggling. I mean, come on, just two years ago, they couldn't even win the Hartlepool by-election against the government.
