Some strands of feminism argue that domestic labor should be paid for. It's a complete misunderstanding of how capitalism works and also the role of the family, she says. In countries where you have a lot of women who may not work outside the home, men’s wages are actually covering that sort of need to have a family and to sustain that family. But basically this force on women mainly as capitalism inherited the family unit of previous class societies where women were already doing this. There are economic dependence that give men a power over women which has led to domestic violence and this idea that men should control women.
