Somatic Referred Pain
In the past, we used to think that we could differentiate somatic referred pain from radiculopane. But I don't think we can more often. Only 30% of people with radiculopathy have a distinct pattern of pain which is described in Northwitty textbooks. It does occur in some people, but in others it can be quite different. And it's outside a typical dermatome, or it's not even dermatome at all.
