Wolf's Room 1 is full of anger. Why did she feel she needed to hide it? She doesn't want to be put down as a shrill, angry feminist. With the next feminist essay she wrote nine years later, three Guinness, she really let the anger show. It was as a result very unpopular and people didn't like it at all. But there's an almost sort of quasi-scientific idea about how these forms of repression have created sort of monstrous, twisted, awkward growths or strange forms.
