The Fuel Source of Human Combustion
In 18 hundred, pierre amilar published an article on the combustion of the human body produced by the long and immoderate use of spiritous liquors. The idea was that alcohol would saturate the tissues in your body and make them unusually flammable. They referred to this as your tissues becoming preternaturally combust due to the alcohol. It may have seemed very plausible in 18 hundred when layer wrote, but we know much more about the body and how it works now.
