Ireland's Abortion Landscape Is Patchy and Restricted

Only 11 of Ireland's 19 maternity hospitals offer abortion services. Only 10% of general practitioners or GPs are signed up to offer them. Nine out of Ireland's 26 counties have fewer than five doctors who offer abortions. An abortion is allowed after 12 weeks, only in the case of a fatal fetal anomaly.
