The Challenges of Working in Egypt
The difficulties that we've faced have been entirely domestic. The people that were always difficult were the police and the secret police in Egypt. And it's probably also worth saying that as we went on to extend the trail into other regions, the challenge of working in Jordan was again very different and significantly easier without the kind of challenges that we ever had in Egypt. So that's my big takeaway from doing those projects was that the the tribal side of it was actually much more connected than most people might think and much easier than people might think.
