Dominique was first-hand seeing the effect that the top massacre had on the east side because she lived so closely to it. Dominique: "I just found it just real disheartening with how many organizations got those funds and chose not to help the people" The feeling of knowing that everybody was on edge definitely trickled down to the kids, says Dominique.
