Functional minimalism is a phrase one of my favorite dujitsu coaches uses. Minimalism means minimum, right? Means a simplicity. Functional means something works, it's effective. And so this is the philosophy this guy teaches for judids. So he's basely saying, why use a lot of complicated things if something much more simple works just as well,. If it's just as effective, use the thing that's the most simple, right? Nd, i think i agree with him totally. I his coaching really changed my jugitsu a lot and made jgitsu much more enjoyable to me.
