The term Kojasara is one of these terms that's used for people who are enslaved, uniks. As domestic servants, but also as guards and of the female quarters, but actually in all sorts of roles. They were intelligentsias and spies, all sorts of different roles. And they could become quite socially and politically powerful, although they were slave origin.
