The Unlocking of Characters in Roguelike Progression
It doesn't feel like you are rewarded for party experimentation really at all. Or I basically just like cleared out the best goal entirely on one and a half runs. It's not until you unlock their next two or three abilities that you start to get like okay I kind of see how this class works now which I do think might discourage experimentation.
