Banks and the Promise of Earning More Money
As paper money could a be accumulated, this opened up the door for credit and for the promise of earning more money. This made it possible for people to start opening businesses that previously couldn't. Orels: Production was able to unfold without you actually having the means to cover the of it. It's almost like production happened out of thin air. So commodities were made almost for nothing. They were made for less than it cost to make them. And hence, the stock market, at least, we'll talk about this more as we go on.
