There's a lot of focus on the student brain, the learning brain. But there's also something happening in teachers. So long as the parent hasn't been confused by social media and self help books about how to be present with children, there is an instinctual awareness. Incidentally, there's an instinctive awareness of the levels of development that i was discussing. You know, attentive adults speak differently to teneaters than they do to you now, ten year old, than they do for two year olds. It what youare call joint attention or shared attention.
