The Myth of Glaukine
Socrates repeatedly uses his name, including very close to the end of the dialogue. Glaukine is by far the main interlocutor in the crucial central books of the Republic. He's trying to get Elsabites to join himself to Socrates and then presumably Socrates will work on him.
