The Power of Joy

Growing up Catholic as well as being gay in Scotland was quite scary but it's true the shame attached to sex in general is there still there. We grew up in a place where there was no queer joy. But celebrating queerness has become central to our creative lives now in Christopher's clothes and in my writing. In the summer of 2023 the pairs original label Christopher Caine known across the fashion world for cheekily challenging old orthodoxies was placed into administration. This is a legal process aimed at helping viable and often successful businesses negotiate financial difficulties.
