The Promise of Emmanuel, God With Us
Matthew's gospel ends with the final commission to the 12th from Jesus in verse 19 and 20, go ye therefore and teach all nations. In other words, I'm leaving the earth, I'm ascending to heaven, but I'm still Emmanuel, God with us. He might physically, his presence might be leaving, but his promise is, I am with you always.
