The Value of Diversity in the Universe
I'm very, my personal view is diversity is good. Some value theories are basically saying there is this thing that provides value and it's additive. We might want to have a lot of diverse, complex system to get new kinds of value. And that might actually be real important. Why should we expect that we have gotten all the kinds of value that are possible to do in this universe? So that might be one of my defenses of diversity.
