I wasn't expecting to have my heart break that night. I was born with the same gift from God we are all born with, the impulse to reach out and lessen the suffering of another human being. We each had a choice whether to use this gift or not. What I knew was that he loved his mother just like I love my mother and I could understand his name. And so somebody laughed, you heard that laughter and something about that laughter is good for the soul. It's a gift. And I've always been one that I love, I love human. Even the worst of the worst I try to find something human.
