I have empathy for all the characters. There isn't one of them that I don't like, right? You know, you got to write that way. The mistake you make is when you try to dictate the next project with the same process as this one. It's akin to painting layers and scraping off what's underneath. And things take on an imposto when they take on a richness that you can't get there from the beginning. But because it was such a game, it was so stupid.
