In 2015 there was no medication that has ever been shown to improve neurologic outcomes at hospital discharge in cardiac arrest survivors. So far we haven't figured out how to fix dead brain one day. epinephrine keeps people alive longer but with terrible brain function so it's just filling up precious ICU beds with adding zero quality of life to our patients. The ultimate idea being that you would titrate the infusion and give us low dose boluses, according to Dr. Tillman. There is also a suggestion that an implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) might be better than Epi-Fib.
