Feminism does have an image problem, but i don't think its just a question of changing the name. We need to look at the root causes why people feel intimidated or alienated by feminism. A reason that men are to benefit from feminism is because its simple progress. It destroys my soul to see young people spending their lives doing something for the sake of being seen at the expense of their productivity and dreams. And i think that women are the ones at the moment who are forcing that to change. I think everybody stands to benefit from that.

At the peak of her career — as first female Director of Policy Planning at the US State Department — she turned her back on her dream job with Hillary Clinton in order to spend more time with her teenage sons. How, cried her contemporaries, could she have sacrificed her high-powered career for her family?
