Data Scientists Understand SQL and Machine Learning Techniques

It seems like there's an idea that data science is kind of lowbrow. Sometimes the companies are hiring a data scientist before they really have the infrastructure to support a data scientist and they just don't understand what's needed, he says. Even if someone else is actually writing this equal for you I think it's really valuable as a data scientist to understand databases in SQL enough to communicate with them. If you're working with an engineer if you understand databases in Oracle or other relational database languages then you can get results much faster than generically describing what you need.
