The Role of the Justice Department in the Case of George Floyd
I don't believe for a moment that anyone there made a conscious decision to kill George Floyd or wanted that outcome. The police officers at many intervals could have used more force in different circumstances and opted not to. And I think it's fair to ask questions about that, but that's the specific elements of the case. In some respect, none of these things matter anymore because the only thing that matters is the role that the case plays in like the broader conversation about race and racial justice.
