Remembering the Sabbath

The sabbath is built into the rhythm of creation. It's a happy day, as what that word means of delight. You want to search for god, you don't need to travel or go to a cathedral. Just slow down and enter a day. The world is full of evil and pain, but it's also full of wonder and inness and generosity and joy. And above all, just remember that all of life comes to us as a gift, and we owe it to our creator and his lavish generosity to enjoy it. We owe it to him. To sabbath well requires, ironically, which is the very thing most people are trying to away from.
