I'd love to get the insider view from someone like that about their plans, essentially. Suisse has put theirs down, forking rail, taking investment and hopefully having, you know, what could be, I guess a Ralph Fork Essentially for us to all have standards against with Enterprise Linux. So we'll see. It was the longest single segment of changelog news that I've done because I had to quote so many parts of it.

Red Hat’s decision to lock down RHEL sources behind a subscription paywall was met with much ire and opened opportunity for Oracle to get a smack in and SUSE to announce a fork with $10 million behind it.

Few RHEL community members have been as publicly irate as Jeff Geerling, so we invited him on the show to discuss.
