The Importance of Competing

I care deeply, deeply about equality, material equality, social equality, and kind of status equality in our world. And so I part of this book is really responding to this idea that many of us have across the political spectrum That it really is about kind of finding being striving competing to be among the best. But when you do that, right, you create fast and equality as you create disruptive technologies, you miss out on a lot of talent. You also create a world in which it starts to seem that if you are not one of these special people, you're not as respected or important. It's okay to have talented people, of course. My point is not to deny this.
