In 1991 the war started in Yugoslavia I was invited by my Dutch publisher to come to Amsterdam and I came somewhere end of September to Amsterdam because of my books which appeared there but then there was now a big dilemma then whether I should go back or whether I should use that situation and prolong to America where the job was waiting for me from January to June 1992.
