The Suppression Act of 1535
Cromwell sends men all over the country in 1535. They're looking after a number of things that certainly as the process went on, from about September 1535 they start looking very hard at sexual immorality. So when the information is presented to Parliament to support the Suppression Act or the MPs are going, what? I had no idea it was so widespread these places have to go. But actually there's a very blatant slate of hand going on there by men on Cromwell's behalf.
