Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind that you may know what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Everything you need to know about God is found on the pages of the Bible. You're either going to be a light for Jesus Christ or I'm going to cave in and compromise and try not to stand out in any way. If you ever had a time where you were gripped with fear, panicking, then you correct it with the word of God. Go back to what Scripture says: "I don't need cute little platitudes"
