The Influence of George Lucas on Ed Catmore
Ed Catmore went to work for this at the time when he worked there it was called ARPA and one of the things that he did at ARPA was create a 3d animated objects on computers. George Lucas actually stood up this division where George Lucas was really trying to leverage computers and computer animation into his original three Star Wars movies. That had a profound impact on him as he went on to be the president and kind of run Pixar later on down the road. Ed made a ton of mistakes but he was not like yeah let's see how this goes he was more like we're doing it and we might fail but we are doing it, which I really liked.
