The Overbearing Criticism of Scientific Buddhism
Buddhism has never really settled much here. The universities are still resisting to some degree. There's a natural tendency for humans to resist the overbearing thrusts of history. I think transcendence or our desire for it and our resistance to it have a lot to do with what continues, what is present and what might come. And that resonates with me quite strongly, especially as we live in a kind of hyper real period of human history.
