In order to maintain a relationship, you have to be able to self-soothe. If we're only outwardly focused, even when we get what we want, we're terrible at letting that help us. Instead of being externally oriented and scanning everybody for how everybody's doing, we want you to increase your curiosity about yourself. So listener out there, like do a little body scan, like how are you feeling as you listen to this? And who are you identifying with? Sort of which side of the spectrum?"
