The Beginning of the Human Race

By 1912, Steiner's own theories about the universe and the space ghost library had deviated it up from the Theosophical movement that he was forced to create his own weird cult. He broke from mainstream Theosophy in 1912, taking most of the German speaking sections with him. In the wake of the split Steiner founded the Anthroposophical Society in Germany. Shortly before the outbreak of World War One, he moved the fledgling organization's international headquarters to Switzerland.
