Researchers developed a method for inducing carbon capture using hydrate crystals that is three times thousand times faster than the best current method. It could also be used for desalination. But they have to use high pressure, but it could take hours to days for the nucleation to begin. And what the new method is is using a magnesium based nucleation s essentially that is almost instantaneous and takes seconds instead of days.
