Brazil's Long-Term Situation as a Democratic Power

The January 8th invasion and attacks on the Brazilian capital have really reinforced belief in democracy and support for the Lula government. In the long run, where you will see problems is the fact that this new government faces an incredible challenge in overcoming polarization. It's not just that people are polarized. It's that they're past the point of being able to hear arguments from the other side.
