The Pathogenic Priming of the Immune System

There's a related phenomenon called original antigenic sin, where your immune system is going to respond as though it was that original strain. This can happen with natural infection, it can happen with vaccinations. The thing is with the influenza vaccine, it's much less likely to happen with natural immunity. Why does this happen with natural injection? I didn't know that.
