Head Teachers Can Generate the Power to Make a Difference

I think teachers can generate, if you like, the power to make a difference and conceal that. We're very good at talking to each other and less good at talking outside. I could say perhaps we ought to have a few league tables based on MPs constituency because that would show a change in the accountability regimevery quickly. But there are things that people can do. Head teachers writing in community magazines, head teachers writing in wider audiences than the education community. You could have something like an innovative schools network where you had schools that were all talking to one another,. forming like one-to-one sort of informal relationships and spreading good practice. It wouldn't take long before that message was filtering
