The U.S. is moving towards a more profoundly hostile or at least adversary relationship with China, he says. And I don't think it's just this administration; they are coming to Europe and saying, so who side are you on? That will include the UK, even though we are semi or soon to be completely detached from the EU, but we're still in NATO structures,. He adds: "I think Europeans, including ourselves, will have to work out whether we want to be in this new Cold War"
Is China, with its unfair trade policies and shameless theft of intellectual property, an enemy that needs to be reined in? Or is it in the West’s best interests to view China as a strategic partner and aim for mutual respect and cooperation?
