The Effect of Altruism Community

We view our mission as reducing catastrophic risks to humanity that could imperil our long term future. We don't necessarily have a bias towards human caused events, but we want address the risks that we believe are most significant so we can build a safer world. What is the greatest source of able catastrophic biological risks? Should we be worried more about states or non state actors? I'm concerned about both. It's not obvious to me that we should focus exclusively on one or the other.
