Lawrence's Religiosity
The vast expanse of the desert had a significant influence on lawrence. He was convinced that judaism, christianity in islam, are all built on the edifice of their founder's first experience with the desert. Lawrence wasn't religious in the traditional sense, but he did find some form of spirituality in the desert. And so that's what i mean when i try to speak about this sort of atheistic mysticism in lawrence.
