The Importance of Making Connections With People
When you sell a painting through a gallery, you don't know who it's gone to. Even without the commission element of it, for me, it feels more transactional when it's gone through a gallery. So I released my collection on Saturday morning and they bought two paintings. And that's a connection I made three years ago. You have to think when you're doing these open handsies and you're doing exhibitions and fairs, people will not buy straight away. They come in at a later date. Do you find that? Yeah, definitely.
