How to Avoid a Flash Crash
Eric Schlossberg: I want to ask you about these many flash crashes that seem to occur more frequently. He says the crash involves a frenzy of trading activity and the recovery re-involved activity. You can't have a flat stop or you're in the market anymore because you're going to get taken out by one of these, he says. The SCH came around to fixing this was creating something called Limit Up, Limit Down which is a moving average based on all the trades in the last five minutes.
