The Complexity of Beijing's Approach to Pyongyang
I think there's a similarity between Beijing's approach to Pyongyang and its approach to Moscow. They like to do enough sometimes to make it sound like they're near the hearts in the right place, but no appetite whatsoever to become involved in this. Ultimately, as long as Beijing can maintain the status quo, they're happy. And then final thought is, you know, Beijing as a political cousin of North Korea understands the complexities of regime sustainability. Their view is first do no harm on regime security.
