The Goats
Bram loved the goats, but he was in a bad mood and everyone else was going to pay for it. He cut off his goat's beard with some shears while Jiblin munched happily on an apple. Bram went back to his room and spilled the loose fur on his work table. It wasn't quite as majestic as his father's beard, or all long and flowing like the old timers, but it was respectable. Exhausted with his efforts, he curled up into bed and was soon snoring even more soundly than that. The next morning there was a knock on his door and his father's voice. Happy birthday, buddy. We got to eat some breakfast
