What Humanists Do
Humanists in general believe that all objects, processes or events take place, are determined partly, but not entirely, by a historical context. This, i think, is essentially uncontroversial. To understand what it means for the same reason that to understand any use of any word, you have to know the words that come before and after it. That's part of what i'm trying to describe as humanity, that that's not limited by by its institutional structure.
